The Friends of The Gambia Association
was formed in 1990 and became a UK registered charity in 1995. In 2000 it obtained NGO (Non
Governmental Organisation) status in The Gambia. There are both UK and Gambian
committees which work closely together to further the aims of the
charity. THE
