COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Njolfen Village in Kiang District Funds
have been provided to supply the village with young rams in order for them to
be sold for profit for the village community.
FoTGA have arranged for persons to be trained by villagers from
Panchang who already run a similar project for themselves. They will also offer advice for the first
year of operation. Niaora
Womens group
This
is a gardening project run by a group of 60 women from Nioro and four
surrounding villages. The objective of
the group is to improve the nutritional status of people in the area, to
improve health standards and to generate income. The project required three wells sunk,
fencing and preparation of a garden area.
Kaur
This is a community relying heavily on agriculture and in
particular rice. Both the villages
Rice Milling Machine and the Motorised Cultivator require major repairs. For further
